    2049 Draft Thread

Everyone must register. THERE IS NO DOUBLE-ENTRY VERIFICATION OF CONSCRIPTOR PASSWORDS. PLEASE TYPE YOUR PASSWORD INTO NOTEPAD SO YOU CAN SEE THAT YOU'VE TYPED IT CORRECTLY, THEN PASTE INTO CONSCRIPTOR. IF I HAVE TO DO A PASSWORD RESET WHILE YOU ARE ON THE CLOCK, YOU WILL BE AUTO-PICKED FOR THAT PICK. If you have not registered by the time your first pick comes up, you will be auto-picked.
User name is your team's FULL CITY NAME.

THE UTILITY IS LIVE RIGHT NOW WITH NO TIME LIMITS IF PEOPLE WANT TO START PICKING. THE CLOCK WILL START MONDAY.

    TIME LIMITS
    ROUND
    MAX TIME
    1st 3 hours
    2nd 2 hours
    3rd 90 minutes
    4th 60 minutes
    5th 30 minutes
    6th 30 minutes
    7th 30 minutes

CLOCK OFF TIME: The draft clock will be turned OFF from 10pm EDT until 6am EDT. CONSCRIPTOR IS ON WITH NO TIMER FROM NOW THROUGH MONDAY MORNING FOR EARLY PICKS.
    1. Use the draft utility. Even if you're planning on picking live, stuff happens. Put your guys in there--even if it's just one guy.

    2. Communicate, communicate, communicate. Unexplained delays are very, very frustrating. When other owners are just sitting around and not knowing if you'll pick in 3 minutes or 3 hours, it is a problem. Every draft will have a draft availability thread. It is expected that owners will use it.

    3. The time limits are in place "just in case," and are not to be used for every pick. No one should continually use close to the amount of time allotted for them in a given round. If everyone used all of the time allowed under these rules, the draft would take 30 days.

    4. After the first round or two, HEAVY use of the utility is expected.

    5. Be proactive with regard to draft trades. For example, if you have only two guys left in your utility that you want with a pick, and you're 12 picks away, start a trade block post saying that if your guys are gone you'd like to trade down, so you can have a trade in place. This is much preferred to waiting until your pick comes up and then trying to trade.

    Other notes...

    • If you miss a pick, your time is reduced by 75% for the rest of the draft.
    • IF YOU TRADE FOR A PICK THAT'S ALREADY ON THE CLOCK, EITHER HAVE YOUR LIST OFF, OR MAKE SURE THE #1 GUY ON THE LIST IS THE GUY YOU WANT! If you don't do this, you might not get the right guy picked. Since you have been forewarned about this, there will be no do-overs.
    • All picks for this year traded from here on out must be moved in Conscriptor.
    • Anyone who has not registered by the time their first pick comes up with the clock on will be set to immediate auto-picking until they register.
    • If you trade a pick that has already been made in Conscriptor, PM me to move the pick. IT MUST BE MOVED IN CONSCRIPTOR.

On my way up to the North of England for a holiday. Should have laptop access to internet in two hours or so at which point I will have a good look at draft class. My pick should come in soon after. Feel free to send me trade offers in meantime of course. Right now I have no idea if the stud QB of my dreams is waiting for me or not!

FYI I have posted on the forum and am looking to trade back. I'll give it a shortwhile for any responses.

Suffice to say my QB of the future is not there

Trade is in. I'm 99% sure Quik is getting the better deal here, but there is no one I like at 1.1. And next year's 1st round pick might just be enough ammo I need to move on a franchise QB - which is what my team really needs.

Sorry about the delay -time differences and all that. Currently 0500 here in the UK -talk about dedication to the GML. Better get back to bed before the wife kills me.
